I think it is a ploy to get attention away from the Fiesta, which was getting lots of love from the press yesterday. I had to wait in line to sit in them! The Aveo RS just left everyone scratching their heads to WTF is the point of the car?

I agree completely. The thing is that the first rumors were about a Aveo RS which would be a near-production car. Instead we get another fanciful dream. GM needs to learn that people have grown tired of promises which are not kept. I was excited about the prospect of a small hot hatch, but I doubt this will be produced.
