I was told (by an expert in all things Euro
) that , had that been a NA car, the drivers legs would have been severed off below the knees or at least crushed horribly. Apparently because $30,000 to $40,000 in medical bills is cheaper for the insurance company than fixing or totalling a $20,000 car.
