No it's not. The new Aveo is based on GM's Gamma platform, developed originally by Opel; the current Aveo uses a Daewoo-designed chassis. As for the engine, not sure about that but I think GM intends to use something like a 1.2 turbo to improve fuel economy.
Also, the production Aveo has been revealed through patent drawings/renders:
