So out of curiosity and in the interest of "shopping around" Myself and my girlfriend decided to go to a mazda dealership and check out the 2's.
First impression... "Whoa crap, the print material does not do that green justice". After the initial shock, the vibrance of the colour wore off and I looked around and sat in the car a little just a few things came to mind.
- back seat is not as well thought out as the fiesta with the slight recess in the front seats to give taller people knee room.
- the dash mounted shifter A la 2003 civic SIR (and the various other vehicles that have done it) felt good, but the clutch had absolutely no resistance, and in turn just felt springy? I'd have to see how it felt in a test drive.
- fit and finish felt nice, and solid considering the fact it's lighter then the fiesta.
-and whoa is that one fairly well thought out engine bay, even more sparse than the fiesta with lots of room to look, and work around in. everything seemed to be within easy access, and what wasn't you could at least see around to figure out a way to work with it.
