Yeah, 50+ MPG is possible, but it takes real effort and won't happen under the driving conditions you described. I pulled off 48 MPG the day I bought mine on a 500 mile trip on mostly 55MPH roads down the east coast, but I had a scanguage installed and I was actively TRYING to maximize my milage. Low to mid 30's sounds more reasonable for the conditions you listed.

Not really anything exciting. Think it was about average after this weird fill up. I usually average around 30 mpg but I fill up my fiesta almost every week so it's hard to keep track of it. Especially since all my old records are on my old hard drive that I stopped using since it started giving me problems.

From reading the threads here and having some personal experience 50 to 60 MPG is possible but under very specific conditions. At a constant 70 MPH on flat ground if I reset the MPG readout it stays between 39 and 40 MPG and that's right around 3000 RPM with a 5 speed. I wish we had a sixth gear in the manuals or they had stretched out the gearing so that at a constant 70 MPH it was more like 2000 to 2200 RPM. Then I bet we could get closer to 45 MPG.
