Stock tires are often LRR, even if not advertised as such. Of course, a newer model of LRR tire may be a better tire with lower rolling resistance than an older model of LRR tire.

With new stock 195/16 tires, I checked the speedo against my gps on the freeway. At 70mph indicated, the gps was showing about 67 actual mph. So given this, it actually sounds like the slightly larger 24.1" diameter tire might actually bring indicated mph closer to actual mph.

I plan to put this to the test, but probably not for a couple of years since I won't be wearing out the stock tires for a while.

Don't guess, don't depend on GPS's accuracy.

Use this and know exactly how far off your new/old setup will adjust your speedo by.

I prefer this tire size calc. Not as technical, but enough for the average person.

I think you have just sold me on my next set of tires. Will probably buy them this fall when I am closer to 40,000 miles on the factory tires.
