I think the overall length of the Fiesta headlight makes them too large to fit in a normal household over. I asked for someone who actually has their car(mine is on order) to measure the headlight at it's longest just to get an idea but have yet to get an answer.

I've tried to fit them in my oven, my parents, and one of my friends. It wouldn't fit in any of them. I tried a 1500 degree heat gun, but the where the plastic meets - there is a protective lip preventing the heat from getting where it needs to be. I cut the lip off, very tedious and time consuming and tried again. Long story short, I worked on one headlight for about three hours and only got about 4 inches separated. I thought to myself that this way not the way to go... way too long to cut another lip off the other headlight, completely separate, paint and reassemble. I calculated approx 24 hours of labor. No thanks. I need access to a pizza place or bakery

My other idea was just to roto-zip the headlights and reassemble with epoxy, but Im going to wait for someone else to do it or for someone to come out with an aftermarket set.

I tried this for looks and absolutely hated it. I went back to how I had originally modded it within an hour.

The way I did mine was scuff with 2000 grit and mix black auto paint and clearcoat (make sure they are compatible) and did a few light passes with the help of my friends HVLP spray gun.

Overall I think it looks great and the light reduction is next to nothing. And it looks even better with my model next to em.

couldn't you just use a hair dryer instead of the oven?

This seems like it would completely ruin the output of the light, no? Much more than just tinting the lens.

I'm sure everyone who's done it will be quick to tell you it doesn't, but adding black paint over a clear lens certainly doesn't help. But hey, who cares about how well a safety device works as long as it looks cool.

I just got the factory blacked out ones, maybe I'll try with my stock headlights to black those ones out.

I just ordered my FlyEyes Kit (Fly Eyes Kit vehicle headlamp and tail light tinting film.) and I've seen a Fiesta on youtube with this applied. It looks beast, easy to do, and it negligibly affects to the light brightness.
