I've been thinking to stripping off the "SES" badge and replacing it with "Titanium". The justification is that the SES has standard features that you can get standard on the Titanium level (bluetooth, 16" wheels, 1.6L engine, etc...) just something to do different.
The only thing is that the titanium labels go all the way on the bottom lip of the hatch due to the length: ![]() So what's the best way to make a clean removal of the SES badge if I don't have access to a hair dryer?

floss and some goo gone, as well as patience.
i'm not a big fan of putting badges on a car that don't belong there. while the ses may very well have some of the same features of the focus titanium edition, it's not a titanium edition. it's like a honda owner putting an acura badge on a civic. just because it's made by the same company doesn't mean it's the same thing.

Usually it's the other way around (i.e. a Honda badge on an Acura NSX, or Altezza badges on a Lexus IS, or Nissan/Skyline badges on an Infiniti G35). But what I'm talking about are trims, not brands.

![]() Kidding aside, with no heat you should be able to cut through the double sided foam tape stuff pretty easily with the floss. You'll just have more left over to soak in adhesive remover and pick off.

I can't think of any way to do it without heat... Any easy access plugin at work?
The only other non-electric heat source I can think of would be a tiger torch, and that would be nuts! But a bic powered soldering torch might work, if you keep it moving and start heating from a foot back and move in carefully. Fire bad...

I might wait for a warmer sunny day to let it bake outside for a bit then.
