Default Cost of your window tinting.

How much did you pay to have your windows tinted?

Mine was $200. He came to me and installed the best 3M tint you can get. He did however do a s**t job on one of the rear windows and wouldn't return my calls...

$425 including the windshield. Would have been $300 without it. Formula 1 ceramic tint by a guy that's been doing it for 30 years...great job, total bargain as far as I'm concerned. It was 3 hours each way to his shop and back home.

omfg $425??? hell even lorenzo here doesn't charge that (he's the local a-list tinter, does all the musicians/actors cars). i would never ever pay that much for tint.

i paid about 200ish for mine, 20% all the way around, although i did not do a strip of the windshield.

I got quotes between 300 and 400 for the formula 1 ceramic tint. I ended up paying 375$ bc the guy was the best installer I could find.

You said it, girl! I paid $165 for the whole car, front strip included, in a 20% tint that looks great and is still perfect 18 months later.

....and I live in S. Florida where cheap-ass tint and killer sun is abundant!

That's the problem around here, not much cheap tint or great installers. Most places offer the Llumar dyed tint for around $250 for the rear window and sides. For the FormulaOne ceramic there were only two certified installers within 3 hours (both in opposite directions). The one in Seattle wanted $400 for everything but the windshield and I couldn't find much information about their quality; the one in state that I ended up using wanted $300 for the same thing and $425 including the windshield (entire windshield, not just a strip -- apparently a pain to work on in the Fiesta...), plus I had heard many good things about him. Around here the best is worth a little extra, otherwise you end up with meh.

I'm considering having the security film put in mine. Not sure if it's worth it but supposedly it holds all the glass in place if someone tried to knock a window out.

Haven't priced it yet. Guessing it's up there with te ceramic stuff. $400ish.
