Tuxedo Black Paul's European 2011 Ford Fiesta Titanium

Hi,
Just joined and as mentioned in the Welcome area I've been visiting this forum fairly often over the last year since buying my Fiesta.
I'm from across the pond and a member of a British Ford forum but I like seeing the American fiesta too and the differences between them - hence joining Fiesta Faction.

I've spent quite alot of time looking through the many great photos on here and thought I'd add a few of my own. I've noticed several small differences between the Euro and US Fiestas, some I like, some I don't like (mainly how we don't get SYNC! lol).

Anyway, heres some pics of my 2011 Ford Fiesta Titanium (5 door hatch, 1.4 litre petrol, 4 speed auto in "Panther Black") - done a few little mods, nothing major:

Welcome to the forum!

You mentioned the lack of Sync as something that you didn't like about the Euro version. Given that pretty much all we do in America is complain that Euro spec cars are better and that you always get the more fun models, are there other things on the Fiesta that we have and you don't that you would like?

Yeah, but you get better wheel selection, and PROJECTOR headlights!!!

- also, climate control instead of a cheap plastic knob.

Also, you get to live in England. So even if you drove the US spec it would still be better because of that.

Welcome to FF! Awesome to see a little different Fiesta from the norm around here. Your debadge-dash-rebadge is similar to Slipnfallbutter's. Looks neat. More pics the better. Great car; I like the grill and of course the fogs.

Yeah I've noticed you's seem to like european designs etc.
Erm, as for things I'd like from the US spec, well....

- your multi-coloured ambient lighting is kinda funky, (we only get a red bar across the passenger side dash and white footwell lights),

- it would be nice if we had the choice of having a moonroof as an option (and a saloon model for that matter - but they rarely bring small saloons here as they just don't sell - by that I mean a "sedan" lol),

- oh and most importantly as I'm one of the 10%-ish with an automatic fiesta in the UK, I think the 6 speed Powershift automated manual box would be nice. We still have Fords older tranditional 4 speed box in the fiesta models.

- interior wise your darker dash board colours look better, our standard two tone blue one is starting to look a little dated next to your black version. I also prefer the design of your centre console area where the climate controls are. Yours seems to look more built in and a bit wider.

Thats all I can think of at the moment but I'll get back to you if anything else pops up.
To be fair the euro fiesta first arrived back in 2008, and as the North American version was only born in 2011 improvements were bound to be made.

I do like my wheels but I also love the round SES style ones yous get. I wish we had them as a choice.

The climate control knob you's get is the same as our non-titanium fiestas.

Thanks Audrey. The upper chrome piece was an aftermarket add on I found on ebay.

I know not everyone's a chrome fan but I quite like this little mod and it makes my fiesta different from the thousands of others I pass on the roads here.
