Daily driver for the last 14 years:

So living in Europe, without a Fiesta, what am I doing on this forum?

Well, I used to own a mk2 1988 Fiesta (see other thread), my dad drives a derivate of the mk6 Fiesta (Euro Fusion) and has been driving Fords for at least 40 years and I'm very interested to see how this european car will do in the USA. Having been to the USA some 13 times (got relatives in Portland, OR) gives me a weak spot for you guys .
Trying to give my european view on things here.

Here's the '95 E300D with 3.0L I6 normally aspirated, indirect injected diesel. Not fast by a long shot and not all that nimble in corners thus why I'm looking forward to the Fiesta or really any C-segment or smaller hatch with a manual and good handling.

Thank you, I had always been a fan of that body style and was very happy to find an affordable used one a few years back. It definitely is a tank, all the more obvious when behind the wheel with only 140 hp or so for the 3500+ lbs. Not exactly nimble, but a comfortable cruiser.

Default What do you currently drive?

1997 Lincoln Town Car with 134K is the daily driver. I have a 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer that I have spent too muchmoney to admit too here (I wish I never got this thing). I need to spend at least another $3-5K to finish it, but I don't see that happening. I see a For Sale sign in it's future. In my defense, gas was under $2.00 a gallon when I started this project. Picked up a 1979 Fiesta last month, needs some work, the goal is to make this the daily driver and sell the Lincoln. A 1973 Mk1 Capri(dream car) is also in the stable, good shape overall but needs restoration. Ford just announced the engine for the 2011 Mustang, and ideally, should funds permit (win some money) the 3.7-liter DOHC Ti-VCT V-6 that delivers 305 horsepower will be in the Capri.

In my defense IT was my birthday......and I really wanted to do it.

I've got an O9 Fusion that has been a great car but it's not as tossable as my old ZX3.

I really like the looks of the new Fiesta inside and out. If they offer it with the Eco Boost, I'd have to sell the Fusion. The only thing that would hold me back is the next generation Focus.
