Default Halo Effect

I know it's not a Fiesta, but my parents have succumbed to the halo effect and today bought a 2011 Fusion Hybrid in Red Candy Metallic with the 501A Moon & Tune package. Using the Z plan, they got it for just over $25k, saving about $6k off sticker. My mom, the family cynic, is extremely happy, despite her vow of never returning to Ford after a bad experience with a 1993 Ford Taurus. It's a different decade, and a different Ford [Motor Company]!

Waiting. They're back in the Detroit area, I told them to get me pics. Until then, here's the sticker:

Ouch! Did her 1993 Taurus have head gasket and transmission failures?

Did any 1993 Taurus NOT have those problems? That Windsor 3.8 engine was a nightmare!

I unloaded a very early 2010 Fusion Hybrid to the in-laws in favor of this Fiesta. Only for the simple reason of running way too many miles up on such a nice car. I felt I was wasting a 30k car on commuting. So I gave it to someone who would drive slower, around town and really appreciate it. Awesome, awesome vehicles the hybrids are. The in-laws are in love too.

Some 1993 Tauruses had 3.0L Vulcan engines, so they apparently did not have the head gasket problems.
