eh. remember that those are surveys, not actual measurements of problems. so while ford customers reported problems, it could have been a check engine light from a loose gas cap, it's still a problem.

ford has released a lot of new stuff recently, and there is going to be problems. they'll get back on track soon enough.

J.D. Power is the biggest crock of **** in the industry.
They create their own work by roping manufacturers into
thinking that what they do is 'wrong' (because it's not like the
Japanese do it).

I'm very familiar with how they do business, and it's
almost as ridiculous as Consumer Reports.
If it's not Jap - they will say it's not good.

Toilet paper.

Euros (and other people with taste for finer things) don't touch the Japanese brands, that's why VW is #1, Ford is #2, GM (Opel) is #3, etc...

Last year the same survey ranked Ford #5, the highest of any mass market car maker. I guess that was a crock of **** as well?

Regardless of the methods used in the survey, lots of potential car buyers take the results as gospel and let them weigh heavily in their car buying decision.

Consumer Reports is a better measure than JD Power. At least Consumer Reports uses scientific methods to come up with their conclusions, JD is purely subjective. i remember reading an article on the top 10 worst cars and why, and one was on there because it got very poor gas mileage. so......bad mpg makes a car a terrible car? yea ok.

I am not going to listen to what anyone on tv, newspaper, or a magazine tells me to think. I will take their opinion into consideration but I am not going to take it for gospel.

There are people out there that still think toyotas randomly take off and kill people and could cite every recall but don't know that Chevy has had recalls for steering wheels falling off and ford has had braking and throttle by wire recalls as well.

Yes it was. These publications (Consumer Reports and JD Power)
are in the business of keeping themselves in business. They create
"issues" where they do not exist - and force manufacturers to chase
forever-elusive (for non-Japanese) ratings/recommendations.

Use these rags to make your decision? You're a sad sack.

Buy a car you like. Not what some Toyonda-loving A-hole says you should.
