Default Little Fiesta has me itching to go for a drive

so my impromptu plan so far is to go down to Big Chill restaurant in Key Largo tomorrow, arriving around 1130am.

No big deal right? Just an hour drive anyway right?

Well ....... this is south Florida. Where driving, for the sake of driving, has been, quite literally, a complete hassle.

NY, PA, MI, NorCal ......... none of these were a hassle to simply go for a drive.

But the Fiesta seems to have changed it for me .

So quick drive down for lunch, some pics somewhere, maybe (depending on scenery), then back home before the holiday crowd overflows the roads.

Unless work suddenly gets in the way lol

Sounds like a good plan! I have to work at 3pm, so I'll try to cram as much R&R in before then as I can.

What is it that makes you want to drive this car all the time?

We're planning a road trip to Boston in two weeks... returning through Ogunquit, Maine and Montreal, Quebec

Wave if you see us!

Or you could drive over to Everglades City and eat here:

Then take a stroll through Smallwoods Store:

Then take a drive through Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve:

Maybe you'll get lucky and see some panthers like my friend Heather Green saw:

Now if I lived in South Florida and had a day to kill for a pleasure drive that's what I would do. It's about 85 miles or so.

Go for it ... spontaneous drives are a blast. I do at least one every weekend lately.

Had a nice lunch at the Big Chill at Mile Marker 104 and took pics.

A recommended scenic spot was Holiday Isle at MM84.

Well at just MM100 I saw the beginning of bumper to bumper return traffic.

So at MM98 I made a u-turn into traffic to head back home. 4 miles of traffic is FAR more tolerable than 20 lol.

Pics later.
