Perhaps this is regional, but it seems that around here, the Focus, Civic, and Jetta appeared on the roads the fastest after introduction, while the Cruze and Elantra have been slower to appear on the roads. The refreshed Corolla with the new uglier taillight style also seems to be slow to appear on the roads.

But it does seem that VW has found that there are a lot of buyers in the US whose preferences are the opposite of what magazine reviewers like. The new Jetta is selling well, despite the unenthusiastic reviews from the magazines.

Here in Metro DC, I see plenty of Cruzes and new Focuses and the '11 Corolla is almost ubiquitous. I think the common factor is that the rental agencies here really stocked up on them. Rental cars get driven more and on a greater number of routes everyday, so they get seen by more people.

Wonder why they left the Kia Soul off the list. It doubled the Fiesta's numbers in June with 11,314 units.

I'm on a vaction in Las Vegas right now and I am seeing o lot of new Focus'. I hope they aren't rentals! Also lots of Porsche's and I saw a Bently. My home town Ford dealer had one Focus in, it had a sold sign on it. They are a cool car. I need to stop looking at other cars, as I have at least nine years to go on the Fiesta.

I am cool. Oh, that kind of cool.
I'm a tuff Minnesotain! It was 102 a few weeks ago, with high humidity. Las Vegas isn't a big deal! Now the traffic is another story. I beat the 500hp? Bently in a drag race and I was walking!

Thumbs up

Did you drive your Fiesta to Lost Wages? How's the AC recycling for ya if you did?

Not sure how long you are stayin' but one MUST for all Vegas visitors is Cirque du Soleil's LOVE at The Mirage! I've seen it three times (GF works for Cirque) and it's my favorite of all the Cirque shows. Check it out!

Toyota has to consider killing the Scion brand.

Scion = Massive Failure.

I can't quite figure out why though. The XD was my second choice to the Fiesta.

The XD was nixed for me due to fuel econ.

It also seems like its a tweener...not small enough to be a sub but not big enough to be a compact and that probably hurts a lot.

TCs and XBs seem to be popular enough though.
