Default New Fusion Spied: Ford Design Leadership Continues

They're starting to test it:

2013 Ford Fusion Spy Photos

Looks very promising. I can kinda see a Focus ST style grille. The midsection resembles a Jaguar XJ. It may even be a hatchback. Looks like Ford's staying at the forefront of design. Wonder what's under the hood?

jeese, they did a good job of camo on that. It looks like a car, other than that, who knows.

Cool

I am speculating that the articles engine options could possibly be right but I have my own ideas.

base model: 4cyl with high gas mileage
Hybrid: of course there will be a hybrid as the original Fusion Hybrid is a great car
Sport model: I think the turbo 4 could be a good option as they would be able to use the same engine as the Focus ST but attach an auto tranny to it
High Performance model?: With the Focus ST, the Taurus SHO, the Fiesta ST(everything is pointing towards one being made), I don't see how they could leave the Fusion out of the performance game too except I think this will be a non-ecoboost engine along the lines of the 3.7L that is in the Mustang with somewhere in the high 200s if not very low 300s for HP.

The 1.6 EcoBoost currently slated for the C-Max would be a good mainstream engine for this car. The 2.0 EcoBoost could be the performance option. I'm guessing they'll go with a conventional 6-speed auto across the board to begin with, but replacing it with the 8-speed as soon as that comes out.
