They're starting to test it:
2013 Ford Fusion Spy Photos Looks very promising. I can kinda see a Focus ST style grille. The midsection resembles a Jaguar XJ. It may even be a hatchback. Looks like Ford's staying at the forefront of design. Wonder what's under the hood?

jeese, they did a good job of camo on that. It looks like a car, other than that, who knows.

I am speculating that the articles engine options could possibly be right but I have my own ideas.
base model: 4cyl with high gas mileage Hybrid: of course there will be a hybrid as the original Fusion Hybrid is a great car Sport model: I think the turbo 4 could be a good option as they would be able to use the same engine as the Focus ST but attach an auto tranny to it High Performance model?: With the Focus ST, the Taurus SHO, the Fiesta ST(everything is pointing towards one being made), I don't see how they could leave the Fusion out of the performance game too except I think this will be a non-ecoboost engine along the lines of the 3.7L that is in the Mustang with somewhere in the high 200s if not very low 300s for HP. |

The 1.6 EcoBoost currently slated for the C-Max would be a good mainstream engine for this car. The 2.0 EcoBoost could be the performance option. I'm guessing they'll go with a conventional 6-speed auto across the board to begin with, but replacing it with the 8-speed as soon as that comes out.
