I wonder if the extra pull off was intentional or not!

Well, both trucks looked pretty old -- did the Chevrolet truck have more frame rust than those recalled Toyota Tacomas?

WOW! that looks nasty. Especially the way it buckled up and not down. My younger son had a 1996 Saturn frame break in half as he was riding down the road. Transmission dragged along the road for many feet before he realized what happened.

That probably happened when the truck was raised on a lift or something.

A large number of Toyota Tacoma trucks were recalled for frame rust, due to improper rustproofing at the factory that made the frames.

Owners were instructed to bring the trucks to Toyota dealers for inspection. Those deemed unrepairable were bought for very generous amounts by Toyota.

Cool

Glad I don't need to worry about my Fiesta breaking apart!

Had a buddy who got one of those deals. They paid him 150% of KBB retail value.

I sometimes wonder how this issue never made the news, or the recall list? Typical Honda and Toyota, bribing silence so as to appear to be a superior brand. Can't say as though I blame them, but then they have the arrogance to act like they really are better.

I own a 1979 Ford pick up with a lift and the werks.... That thing is tough as steel. The truck has been completely rolled over acted like nothing ever happened. That is one STRONG truck I'll say.
