Default Anyone run these in their Focus?

It's the ford racing USAC midget engine.

"only" 178hp but I bet it is a nasty mill.

But will it fit under one or our hoods/bonnets? Also, does it come with tuning?

It would fit, and it definitely can be tuned. But... There would need to be some serious structural mods done to the car for it to have the right mounts... Ford racing did stuff a 2.3l turbo engine in their 2010 SEMA fiesta, that would be the engine for me!

You'd be FAR better off just having a turbo kit built and installed in the Fiesta.

Those engines aren't sold directly through FRPP and they're VERY expensive and no, I've never seen one in a Focus.

I would say that engine would be 100% unusable for the street. You can't run a race engine on the street, it is not designed for it. They normally have a tight powerband that is very high, don't run well at low rpm, and you will have a host of driveability concerns. Oh, and they are not cheap.

Love to see the muffler they would have to put on it for street use. I live with in 10 mi. of Pomona's track and it gets a bit loud. Hate to be in the trailers that are located about 1 mile away.

I'm kinda thinking just plumb pipes straight up in the air (unrestricted) about 8 feet like the big rigs do. That or some of the new stealth technology from the military Skunk Works. Might pass a drive by test under say 83dB
