I got my loaner car from Ford today

I think they're trying to give me size envy before the Fiesta comes in. This thing is huge to me; my family has never owned anything larger than a camry or aura. Well, back in the day my mom had a free candy van, but I was like 5.

Not looking forward to the fill ups for the next two weeks

Two weeks? Yuck, I'd not be happy about that either!

why do you have a two week loaner if your car hasn't even come in yet?

Audrey - it's like driving a high chair IMO. The ride is smooth, though. The gas will be a little more than I want, but it's not like I plan on making road trips any time soon. I'm just sorry I couldn't get this before today - I moved yesterday and it woulda been handy

That's...kind of the point. They told me the car would be here mid august (4-6 weeks after order in june). I moved yesterday, and start classes today. Can't share a car anymore with this hectic uni schedule. So they're giving me this loaner until the Fiesta arrives, which is nice.

Wow, that sort of customer service is pretty rare from my readings around here. If you ordered custom from the factory it's unusual for the dealership to give much in the interim waiting period. Nice job finding such an awesome place!

Yes, I have been very pleased with my dealer. He's been very good to me. They did this for my friend who got a Fiesta too, when the cars were first coming out; his was delayed by quite some time and they gave him a loaner for a while in that instance as well. My dealer has answered every question I've had and during the buying process was even honest about other car makes and models and the pros and cons of each. Been very impressed. (I also wonder how much of it has to do with the fact that I'm not leasing or financing but just outright handing over a fat check when it arrives Couldn't hurt I suppose.)


If anyone needs a ford dealer in NY I can hook you up with a hell of a guy though

It's only because you're cute.

They used to make me take the extended cab, full size bed F-250 when I travelled so they didn't have to pay mileage for my personal car...my god that was awful. Imagine going from a Fiesta to THAT!

Also I would never be able to drive a truck. I might crush things with it by accident...
