Default Little help with new car
Looking at buying new mini van but I want to know if any of the recalls have been done to it. Is there any way to find this out online or is it something that can only be known if going to a dealer.

Not sure if you can get if for free. But it looks like Carfax has some info if your willing to pay up.

I have a Carfax on the van but it said no recalls but I wanted to look in to it a little more just to be on the safe side

Component Affected: SUSPENSION:REAR:AXLE:NON-POWERED AXLE ASSEMBLY
Potential Cars Affected: 492,650
A FRACTURED AXLE CAN AFFECT VEHICLE HANDLING AND INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.




This is one recall I want to make sure have been done the van will be getting a lot of use out it and I want it safe is all

Ask a Ford tech to run an OASIS report. That will tell you what you want to know.

I you like the van, buy it. Take it to a dealer that sells that brand, they will check and perform them for you. No cost. Most recalls are really dumb. We had one on our mini van because the drain hole could plug in the A/C and drip water inside. Hardly a safety issue.

I just ran the OASIS and there are no open recalls on that Windstar.

Both front and rear suspension recalls have been performed already.
