Unhappy Molly's rear end got re-arranged

Christy got hit yesterday by a very smart man trying to go straight 3 turn lanes deep. Rear bumper on our Prius is currently duct-taped on and the rear quarter has a pretty large dent mid fender to door.

On top of that we both feel the brakes are being a bit touchy, there is some scrapes on the wheel so I am wondering if the rotor got bent a little.

She's ok but she says her neck is still hurting so we are going to add that to the list too.

Luckily dude is insured but not sure about the quality of his insurance company.

I guess brightside is my Molly is gonna get a new butt, the bad part is she is stuck with a ghetto booty right now. We are going to Nashville tomorrow and now Lola has the job but a 600mi road trip in a lease was not in my plans. All my projections say she will be fine on miles but you never know when you are going to need to put extra miles on...like this case.

We'll get her fixed up, the good side is there was bumper damage from an idiot's cart on the other side so at least that will be gone!

Ugh Christy now tells me that her ear touched her shoulder when she got hit. I didn't realize how un-easy that act is...add some medical in there.

Thumbs down

Awful news! I hope Christy's injuries are realized and dealt with as quickly and painlessly as possible. Things like whiplash can take a few days to show-up. Too bad about the Prius and extra lease miles. At least everyone walked away (it sounds like).

Here's hoping the guy's insurance is good quality too!

I sense a fight coming. Christy said the adjuster called and she got huffy when she told her about the possible injury, said it would go to another case and basically hung up on her.

I am going to see my insurance guy after this endless conference call ends...I didn't want to have them intervene but it sounds like they might have to.

On top of that their insurance said they would send someone out monday or tuesday...that doesn't seem acceptable to me.

Man that's too bad!

By all means call your insurance and get them involved. Let them do all the calling and fighting. And if there are injuries make it known ASAP.

Wish you all the luck.

Your insurance company will be interested in making the other company pay, so involving them could be helpful. My dad worked as a personal injury lawyer, both for an insurance company and then later in a private firm. I hope you don't end up needing legal council. Things do get ugly quickly.

Talked to my guy and he said to try and give the other company time. Reason being I would have to pay my deductible until they got the money back (if) from the other company.

In the meantime she will be seeing the doc today and hopefully some muscle relaxers will stop the pain for a bit.

Weeeeeee I heart idiots.

Always, Always get your own insurance company involved.

It's in their best interest and yours for them to handle any negotiations.
