Default Civic Hybrids sued
Possible in the wrong section and please don't throw stones considering the source, but I found it surprising that she was only getting 30mpg. Would like to know if that was city, highway or combined. I would also like to know what data others have collected vice simply saying "im not getting 50mpg"

I saw this lady on Fox news. She got quite a bit of air time and Im sure Honda didnt like that. I hope she wins also.

this is bull ****, i should sure ford for the fiesta getting 30 mpg highway too...

Honda has had bad battery efficiency for a long time.

To keep the batteries from killing themselves they reprogram the car to run on mostly gas.

This gives obviously bad economy.

Besides, the honda system is not good.

That is what I heard as well; that initially it did get really good MPG but the batteries were going bad quickly and Honda was getting tired of doing all these warranty replacements on batteries. So they issued a firmware update that made the car use the electric motor less and people's MPGs suffered because of it.

People were talking about it on Slashdot last week.

...and she wins just over $10,000! Of course Honda is attempting to appeal the courts decision.
