I see a lot of Leafs (leaves?) here, but Oregon was one of the test beds. I've only seen one Volt that I recall. Nothing impressive.

Sonics, Volts, what other new models do they have left to recall?

looked at the leaf from nissan but 100 mile range would be a joke for me... I drive way to much for that...

the volt is better but if you read the details it's limited in miles as well and I think has only 40 miles of electric power before your running the gas motor anyways? Been a year since I looked so kinda fuzzy.

I would love an electric car, but can't afford my Tesla. Yet.

Electric cars are not near ready for prime time. Location is a big factor for their popularity or lack of. I can't see an electric car being mainstream up north or where snow and cold is a regular season. Down south or southwest maybe. Then it's just around town for transportation only. Can't expect to carry any kind of load or go any distance. It's still a novelty thing and only rich or stupid people would buy one as regular transportation. IMO.

Now a hybrid I think is much more practicle, but price is a problem. Again I don't think the ordinary working person can or should get one. On the other hand I think public transportation can make electric vehicles shine.

My round trip commute is about 40mi normally. The Tesla has 250miles per charge. There are charging stations downtown near my work. I think it'd be totally doable if I could afford the 55k+ pricetag.

A more efficient, clean, reliable, and electric mass transit system would be great. On that I agree!

I do not see myself paying more than 25k for a car unless it was special in some way. An electric Focus is still a Focus, which I like, but if I want electric I'd rather a special car. A Tesla. (It shall be mine!)

My commute is 4 miles round trip. I think an electric car would suit me. However, there's only one charging station around and it's at the fancy car dealership that's pretty far from me. Also, I'm not willing to give up my Fiesta.

Also also
, I would walk/bike to work, but that dang Mississippi River stands in my way.
