Default Trade

The time has come much sooner than anticipated where I'm not that happy with my Fiesta anymore. I gave a dealer friend of mine all the stuff he needs to run some numbers for me at his leisure to trade my Fiesta in for a new vehicle and combine the remaining balance and my wife's Versa loan together for a single payment. 1.9% for 48 months is very nice. If the numbers are favorable I will be driving a '12 Jeep Patriot Latitude soon. A lot of people dog that vehicle, but it is much more off-road capable than the other CSUVs and they redid the interior last year so it doesn't feel so cheap. The CVT has also been remapped to make it more refined. I very much look forward to getting back to a CVT, I loved the one I had in my Altima. So over the next couple of days I'll find out how much longer I'll remain in my Fiesta.

Sadface. Really a Fiesta and a Jeep Patriot are entirely different animals though. You should make the wife get rid of the Versa. (;

You'll still hang out with us sometime for shenanigans though, right?

She loves that car. No way she'd ditch it.

Of course. The Patriot forums are so...foreign. Plus if the numbers don't work out I'll be around for quite a while with my green machine.

In hindsight I think maybe the shiny green Fiesta was more of an impulsive infatuation than the practical choice for what I should have. I miss the 4x4 I had on my Durango, and with the Pat I can have that and decent fuel economy...plus a ton more room than the Fiesta.

<3 Pathfinders. Too expensive and poor gas mileage though. I'll be spending in the area of $22-23k for my Patriot if it happens. Only options on it will be the standard power stuff and the Freedom Drive II package with 19:1 crawl ratio.

Xterra is closer in price, and off road monster! I respect the Jeep though..

Love the Patriot! My good friend had one and was in a terrible car accident. The vehicle was totaled but no one was hurt. Quite amazing after seeing how smashed it was...it flipped multiple times, all the windows were shattered, all airbags deployed.
He bought another one with the insurance money.

Not that I don't love my fiesta, but I've been eyeing a few Subaru WRXs lately...

Maybe trade truck, and keep Fiesta...

My old carpool buddy was a Subbie fan. The WRXs have A LOT of power potential. And definitely swap out the truck instead of the Fiesta. (;
