I'm Canadian, and received a ticket in the US that I failed to pay by due date, which would've been fine if I'd decided to never enter the US again. However, I eventually figured I should keep things in order, and phoned the appropriate people in the county that I received the ticket in. Paid the fine, and all is well. Have entered the US a few times since without problems.

I wouldn't worry about it because 12 million others have much more serious immigration violations for which they don't get deported or arrested.
