Default Interior Review Pictures

I have compiled a group of detailed pictures with descriptions highlighting the interior of the Fiesta. All pictures are located here, Interior Detail - a set on Flickr and anyone is welcome to ask questions or leave comments.
As of yet, I have not found a fast way to post many pictures to a thread, so I am just posting the link for right now.

Enjoy!

I am planning on exterior and engine ones later this week. The weather the past few weeks has been terrible! Rain almost every other day, so trying to get pictures of the car when it is clean and not raining is hard. Usually, if it is not raining, I am doing yard work or playing golf. Eventually, the interior, exterior, driving, and engine will have dedicated video reviews as well.

thanks!
I should have some exterior detail and engine compartment stuff up tonight.

Once again, it is supposed to rain for the next week, so no exterior pictures after tonight. Spent most of Sunday detailing the Fiesta so I could take some pictures of it this week. Forecast changed, and the rain starts again tomorrow. So far, it is rained every week since I picked up the car in April. I get 1-2 non rainy days, so one of those is spent cleaning, and the other is spent playing golf and cleaning up my yard before the next batch of rain. Very frustrating.

Great pics Brian!

Did you learn any insider info on the fiesta after visiting Ford HQ yesterday?

Yes I did, but not as much as I was hoping to. I learned that if you like what you see in the interior pictures, please leave comments about them! Some of my pictures made it into the design studio, and the feedback from them is priceless. The same goes for the exterior pictures, Ford is listening, and if you like something, please tell them in the pictures. I did not know how much of an impact they have.

Ok, now for Fiesta stuff I learned.
1) The suspension changes are being done to maintain the same dynamics as the EU cars. There is a slight increase in spring rates and dampening rates to adjust for the increased weight of the crash structure up front.
2) Rear suspension is staying as is, with the same spring rates, shocks, bushings, and twist beam.
3) The twist beam is the same on all Fiesta's, so it doesn't need to be changed to get the "european" ride.
4) Bushings in all locations of the suspension are staying the same, so no squishiness going on there.
5) No hatchbacks have been built on the pilot line yet, only sedans. I saw a sedan and it is ok. I won't buy one as I am a hatch guy, but the back is very much like the Mondeo.
6) No idea what the powertrain and interior guys are up to.
7) Ford is watching and listening, so if there is something you like or don't like, be sure to say it! You like the gauges, say it! You like the xxx, then say it! People are listening.
8) Motorsports are still a big part of Ford, and many global performance products are being discusses.
9) Ford Racing is working on Fiesta performance parts that will be ready when the car comes out. They have a couple of Fiesta's, and one has no engine, so I am guessing the motor is being outfitted with fun stuff.

Lastly, go out and DRIVE THE FIESTA! Do whatever it takes to get to the events, tell the people there what you like and don't like. Take a video camera and tape the drive and your thoughts. This stuff matters!

After suggesting comments on your flikr photos, you'll probably regret it with all of them that I seem to be adding. It's just very encouraging to know people are actually listening. I'm sure you are not permitted to comment on the front grille and rear fascia treatment you saw on the pilot sedan, but know there is plenty of envy here in your getting the opportunity to see the development and meet the people you met. Things are looking way up based on your comments and Mark's. Sounds like it may be even harder for me to wait until 2011 for one.

The sedan I saw was most likely a China market car as the front looked just like the EU cars. If it would have been the US production version, they said it would well covered this close to launch. I also know that there are 2 different white sedan mules driving around. One is for suspension, which has side marker mirrors and no gauges on the A-pillar and the other is Powertrain with the gauges.

One thing is for sure, being at Ford is like being in Europe. EU Fords in almost every parking lot! Only saw one Falcon, but a ton of Fiesta's, Mondeo's, and Focuses. The Kuga is also very nice, and I think it will be my wifes next car. Read into that as you would like.

After yesterday, it is hard to wait until next spring to get one! I saw a number of white ones, and that is the car for me. It looks good in yellow, but the white is the best. Strangly, the Fiesta actually makes the current EU Focus look dated. Oh, the guy who designed the orginal Focus did the Fiesta, and that is one reason why they are so close. Talking with Jost Capito, it sounds like every new Ford will have the same DNA and will be a progression forward and not a side step. The driving dynamics in the Fiesta are the same that will be applied to all Ford products. Emphasis will be on handling and not brute power numbers. Refinement and elegance rather than bold "in your face". Everything I saw yesterday confirms that Bold Moves is dead and One Ford is for real. Ford NA won't just be dumbed down, half-assed attempts anymore.
