The US Fiesta only proves that Ford HAS changed, and for the better.

They released a product with significantly increased tech, oodles of premium features (15-class exclusive features, not including some premium paints that would commend an extra $500 or more on a Lincoln...)

The seats feature much higher quality leather, buttons were moved to more convenient and logical locations (seat heaters), and the suspension was BEEFED UP - NOT dumbed down.

But of course, as a certain someone even said himself, anything short of 100% European wasn't going to be good enough.

No worries... good riddance. I would rather not have a rotten egg in the community anyway.

I want my fellow Fiesta owners to LOVE their car and appreciate it for what it is - the best damn car in its class. Period.

I don't think he is done I think he will be back in a week or so as always to try and stir up some more sh**. If you look at all his post that is all he ever does is make negative comments.

I DON'T have to pay for a fancy stereo which I'll rarely use.

I DON'T have to turn the engine on if I need to roll the windows up or down.

At $15K I feel like I'm making out like a bandit.
Plus same great driving dynamics, same great 1.6 Ti-VCT engine, same great safety features, and same great best new benchmark AFFORDABLE B-sgement car in North America as the SE and SES.

I wonder how many in North America will like the SE cloth pattern choices. I really like the black/blue combo, to me this is a very Euro touch and quite surprised that Ford N.A. is offering it.

That post was to prove that Golf Strom was just blowing smoke. Because unlike you,if I remember correctly,he will never reserve and buy one even if they did have an S model hatch.

BTW here's the only live picture I've seen so far of that interior:

I'd really like to see what Light Stone (gray) looks like in person.

I would go with the blue on black interior if I bought a blue Fiesta, but I can't imagine wanting to get with anything else. And I think the configuration actually says it isn't an option with about half the exterior colors.

It does make me wonder how they decided on blue. I think red interior accents would look great with the red paint job.

The quote in post #84 above was not mine. Just click the arrow and it shows that the quote was completely erased and changed to something completely different.

Whoops, sorry, just wanted the quote about the blue interior but couldn't get it to go in automatically so I cut and pasted instead. No harm intended.

I just want to say that for those of you that are satisfied with the final US spec product..I'm glad you're happy with what you're getting and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Like some others here have said, most buyers will be completely satisfied with their purchase when it comes to the US Fiesta and even I will admit that considering it wasn't orginally designed for the US it still comes fairly close to the original product. It is just not close enough for me and some others.

Of course I'll stick around. I will still give the car a chance when it shows up in the showrooms soon. Maybe I will be surprised? Who knows.

I just don't want there to be hard feelings on the forum here. Being quite the German (well third generation decendant) I do have quite the critical mind and it sometimes can be perceived as being overly sullen. For that you will have to forgive me.

Bill

I should've guessed, Wilheim, as I live 'next door' to Germany. Unfortunately on the wrong side of the country so I almost never can enjoy their Autobahns. But our company having a German sales office, I have to deal with them now and then. And yes, your stubborness is still showing, even after 3 generations

I'll see you around in 6 months from now, when you've driven the car in person?
Tschüß!

Brandon has more pictures of the Fiesta interior's here Fiesta Movement Racetech Performance

Many of the cars still had EU interiors and were locked, but a few were open. I sat in one for a few minutes and was very impressed with the revised interior. The seats are outstanding!
