Google "2009 Ford Fiesta armrest". The ones I found are 3rd party. I think I've seen the Ford OEM in one Euro brochure. I'll look for it.

Yes, definitely. I hadn't noticed it was lacking one.

I got an answer back from my reservation person about my question on deleting the chrome on the SES that I reserved and the body kit that was shown on the white Fiesta at the LA auto show. Here is what she said.

Thanks for emailing me with some great questions. I went ahead and asked the head Fiesta man in Michigan about your questions. He said that as far as for the chrome beltline and rear hatch trims in the upgrade package…He said that your dealer should be able to accommodate your need as far as changing the color to black instead of chrome. This is something you will need to talk to them about once it is time to go to the dealership to place your order. (which I will contact you letting you know when that is). Now as far as the body kit shown on the white fiesta, which is seriously awesome, it was a SEMA (special equipment and accessory manufacturer’s event vehicle. The vehicle was customized by an up-fitting company. We are still trying to find out which company it was. I will email you once I find out who made that body kit. Let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you! I will be giving you a call in the next few business days to ask you a few questions regarding your reservation. Talk to you soon!

The body kit company is 3dCarbon. Kevin George, the North American Fiesta Design manager mentions their name at the end of this video;

There are now 4000 Fiesta reservations:

2010 Detroit Auto Show -

If these all turn out to be real buyers it would take at least a month to build all those cars.

There may be more options becoming available on the build and price site, so keep you eyes out. Many of the Ford Customized Accessories may be added to the build site so you can price out your dealer installed parts. Options "may" include BLACK LED HOUSINGS! For those who don't want chrome, there may be an option to order the black housings as a dealer installed option. There is also some talk of having the black LED housings for the hatchback and chrome for the sedan. Our feedback is helping make decisions.

It wouldn't even take a day, I just read on facebook that in 17 months of production they've already produced half a million new Fiestas. The number of reservations is still rather low for what has been proclaimed huge sales. Then again people may be waiting for a year end sales event to get the car at a dirt cheap price.

That is good to hear because I was already trying to figure out how to get rid of the chrome on mine.
