I saw the body kit on Ford.com but in my order guide and on CONCEPS it is not listed. If it is listed as a FLA (Ford Licensed Acessory) that will mean it is shipped to the dealer seperate from the vehicle and installed at the dealer. It will most likely come painted, but installed at the dealer.

I just built my Blue Flame SES with the 301A package. I went to add the 55S Euro spoiler (no longer available) and the 13R Moonroof (only after 06/28/2010).

I have an email into my zone rep to find out the nasty details

From what I had heard, the body kit is a dealer installed option. It can be ordered with the car, but its installed at the dealer. Some of the kits come pre-painted to match the car, but other colors will have to painted at the dealer. I am not sure which colors are available prepainted and which are not, or if they will all be available prepainted. The spoiler should come on the car, but verification would be great!

Ford is just asking for problems if the kits are not prepainted throughout the colors, most dealers don't even have a bodyshop so they would have to be outsourced to a third party bodyshop. I can already imagine the color matching headaches.

I don't think its a big deal. When I had my ZX3, I wanted some SVT body parts. I could order them prepainted in black, silver, sonic, and red. I had a white ZX3, so luckily they also had one in primer. I bought it and had another shop paint it and install it. Work was awesome! Geniune Ford part with aftermarket installation. I think my dad did the same on one of his ZX3's and ordered a wing in primer and had it painted to match. From a manufacturing stand point, it makes the most sense to produce the most common colors for the body kit.

I'm hesitant to preorder because it puts you at a serious disadvantage as far as trade-in value and other things if they already have $500 of your dollars.
I have bought a number of new cars over the years, and never once have I put any money down to order the car. Never even been asked. My dad put down a couple grand deposit on a GT500, but somebody came in later and put down $5k and my dad was told to pony up more money to get the first GT500 to arrive. I thought that was terrible, and he did to. He got a Shelby GT instead. The idea of putting money down before the car arrives is something I don't like. The order has your name on it. Leave the money in the bank to gain interest is what I would do.

For anyone that needs help in getting an order together, PM me. The order bank that lets dealers actually order the Fiesta starts Friday. But orders can be taken by the dealer today. Most dealers require a $500 refundable deposit (at least we do).

Chan, I got your PM and will respond in just bit.

Has anyone been able to clarify how the "Free Sync" for reserving the Fiesta works? I can understand for the SE model where you can add Sync for $595, but what about in the SEL or SES when it just comes standard? Is there a $595 reduction to the price? If this is the case, I am torn for now.

SE Hatch w/ Sport/Sync/Sirius/Winter Package/Euro Spoilter/Body Kit
or
SEL Sedan w/ Upgrade Package/Leather

Anybody leading towards a sedan? It would have been nice to see one in person.
