I was playing around with the configurator as well and noticed the SE hatch has changed from a few days ago. I like how the twin chrome exhaust tips are shown with the body kit, but don't come with the kit. Also, the gallery no longer shows the FRPP suspension. Speaking of FRPP stuff, the 17" wheels are still shown all over the website, but you can't get those either. I swear a few months ago there was hp and torque figures there, and went I went back later to answer a question via twitter, I could not find them.

yep, I got all of those specs from Mark. They were part of the Fiesta Press Packet and are a few months old. I tried to find the EU gear ratio's so I could compare the two together, but have not had any luck. I thought the spec sheet was outstanding compared to the website. I would bet 75% of the Fiesta Ask questions on Twitter could be answered with that sheet, mostly because I use it for reference to answer the questions.

It really depends on what the price of those things comes out to be.
Plasti-Dip

The VW guys have been doing it for a while:

MotiveMag Forums: To Plasti Dip, or not to Plasti Dip..... that is the question.

One of the guys in that thread sprayed his chrome grill and has no chips after a full year of driving it.

@GhiaFan
Thanks for finding those ratios, and they match the ones I had found earlier but the source was questionable.

@Ataru
One of the other Fiesta agents turned me on to the Plasti-Dip stuff that is popular with the Mini and VW crowd. I may try and get ahold of a damaged chrome grille from the body shop when I drop my wheels off today and test out the paint on that first. If that works, we may do the grille on my dad's Fusion and the LED trim on the Fiesta.

Looking at the build site today, I noticed that it looks like the LED lights come with the chrome bezels only. If you want black housings and LED lights, you will have to do it yourself, or hope they have an accessory option from the dealer. Simply ordering the lights from a lower trim model won't work anymore. It will be either Plasti-dip, vinyl, or just skip the LED lights all together. Either way, the chrome is the first to go away.

This was confirmed by my Fiesta agent today. Even on the SE with the sport appearance package, it will come with chrome LEDs.

Wow, it went from maybe chrome only for the sedan and black for the hatch, to no black LED's anywhere. Now I am really stuck with finding a solution. You would think with all of the don't-chrome-it feedback they would have not gone to an all chrome or nothing approach. Oh well, I got time to find a solution.

yep, that is actually another thought. I have a couple of different things I have been working on, and that is one of them. There are still rumors of a "black-out" package coming, but nothing concrete.
