I noticed the S and SEL (sedans) having a body colored grille, while only the SE has a chrome 3-bar grille?
And the FM/AM radio still has a 'Sirius' button and eventhough there's no CD-slot, it has a eject button?

I knew about the Body-color grille on the S, but not the SEL. Plus the SE still has the chrome. WEIRD.

Here's hoping they just remove the chrome grille for all models. Make it an accessory if people really want it.

So I emailed 3dcarbon about their kit and they confirm that $700 is for the unpainted kit. They will be offering pre-painted kits as well as soon as they finalize the details with Ford. They gave me a rough estimate as well of $550-650 for paint and prep for their kits.


EDIT: Got another email from them stating that pre-painted kits will be available at launch, most likely I'll be dealing with 3dcarbon directly instead of my dealer for the kit since 3dcarbon is around the corner from the dealer.

I confirmed that they will be chrome. They couldn't make them black, they wouldn't reflect.

EDIT: Called up the Reservation specialists and they confirm that the kits do not include paint and installation, looked up 3dcarbon's website and it seems that's how they sell all their kits as well. Just wondering if it'll come already prepped and primed or not.
THe dealership will have to do all final prep work, including Paint.

Even better I know that there is a reservation specialist,Matthew Wolfe,that post on this board at times and if you read this then post on here what we need to do to fix this. I hope it doesn't involve resubmitting order now and delaying arrival of my car even further.

Yes, sometimes this happens when you have duplicates in the system. The system that we use can sometimes be tricky if you don't do it right, you will end up with one reservation that has the original, and if another is re-submitted, and we merge it, sometimes the reservation number changes.

The best thing to do, is just shoot me an email at mwolfe@fordlm, with you last name, and zip code, and I will double check it for you. As long as you have a reservation number, you are safe. This I can assure you. It is a simple fix in the system.

I emailed Megan friday evening with the concern and included both the reservation numbers that I had. Thanks for answering the question on here though because that does make me feel better. Is that why some people haven't gotten a flash drive yet or are they just limited in numbers ?

What flash drive?

Anyway, I haven't gotten mine either, but they also have so many to send out, it can take a little time.
