They still let me reserve even after I told them I had D Plan.

Manufacturers always rip you off for wheels, but I'm surprised they want $2000 over the price of the 16"; that's really crazy.
I notice in the order guide posted here:

http://http://fiestafaction.com/foru...der-guide.html

that the 17" wheels come seperately to the dealer as a dealer installed accessory. The car is delivered with the 15" package. If this is the case, you should get to keep the 15" tire/wheel package (good for winter if you live up north). You're also paying for the dealer ($$) to swap them out. That being said, $1950 is still a bit steep. At any rate, the aftermarket will have plenty of offerings. I bet the euro wheels will also eventually end up in the racing catalog much at a much better price.

Yea, the 17 inch wheels are a rip off. So don't buy them.

Besides, in my opinion 17 inchers seem a bit much with a car of this size.

I've got a couple hundred shares of Ford stock so I think that qualifies me for X or A plan or something like that. Sounds like there's a decent chance I *can* reserve and put it under that plan then. I was hoping to be able to.

My other question is if I can reserve now with a sunroof and wait until its available for things to go through. Hopefully. Just need to decide on a color and then call them to reserve I suppose.

I can't tell you if being a stockholder qualifies you for any plans. The only plan that I can tell you about is the one that I have is D PLan for dealership employees.

About your Moonroof question I would call them and ask but I would say that since it says late availability and if the vehicle is reserved it has to delivered by Sept that it really wouldn't be ready by then.

Also as I have said before I'm going to wait about a year to buy.

Here's a link to a discussion on FJ about sharholders and X Plan from earlier in the year. X Plan for Stock Holders? - The Ford Focus Forum | Powered by Focaljet

I do need to call them and find out about the sunroof and X Plan pricing through their program. Hopefully we can make it work!

I see some changes have already been made to the build and reserve, now you can not get the 15 painted rims on the SE Focus without getting the automatic transmission.

Couple updates on the reservation process. "DeanH" a Ford dealer who posts on Blue Oval Forums gives the following dates:

Quote:
2/1: (USOB Open 1/10) Begin sending pre-screened Reservations to Dealers for appointment setting, Fiesta Retail Order Verification page on fmcdealer.com begins
4/2: Last day Reservations will be accepted
5/3: Last day for submitting Retail Orders under the Reservations Program to qualify for Incentive
So apparently they will "screen" you somehow, but you won't hear from a dealer until Feb. That's a month after the order bank (USOB) opens. Does that mean the dealer will have the ability to order a Fiesta a month before hearing from anyone who reserved?

Also, I got an e-mail from the reservation center which basically said "sit tight until we send you another update"

Our friends to the north can Build&Price and add on a $1200 Power Moonroof to either the SE or SES. Judging by the Powershift option which is $1070 for the US and $1250 in Canada, I'm going to guess the moonroof will be a $1000 option in the US.

I was not surprised to see the price range as I posted previously:
Quote:
no way a top-shelf Fiesta will come in under $18k in my mind. On the low end, if it starts anywhere below $13,500 I'll be shocked. I think loaded up will likely push $19k which leaves room if Ford does a sport model in the $20-22k realm. A $14k Fiesta will more than compete with anything available in that range so there's no reason to go below that.
A fully loaded Fiesta from the factory (excluding anything in the Accessory section such as the $1950 17" wheels) with a moonroof & Powershift should come in around $21,500--a bit more than I had expected.

Compare this to a fully loaded Focus Coupe or Sedan SES 4-spd automatic at $21,600 for its 140 hp unit though the Focus does have 17" wheels. I think it's a given which is the better buy--so many more features on the Fiesta.

It's great that Ford is giving those that reserve a lot of ability to communicate during the order, building, and shipping process. I hope special orders continue to have access to the personalized touch that further sets the Fiesta apart from the pack.
