So, as many of you are now aware, just yesterday at this year's LA Auto Show we were proud to present our very secretive joint project with Ford Racing, The Steeda / Ford Racing 2011 Fiesta - Sport Edition

There’s nothing like a solid performance team to get results. Steeda Autosports and Ford Racing partnered up to transform a 2011 Ford Fiesta into a serious handling and performance sedan. Over the past eight months, operating under a shroud of secrecy, the Steeda Team has been actively working with Ford Racing to develop a comprehensive performance package for the Ford Fiesta that will provide the compact sedan enthusiast a series of performance upgrades that will instill the level of performance they have come to expect from the leader of Ford performance – Steeda Autosports. With track inspired ride and handling, the Steeda / Ford Racing Fiesta will provide for many performance surprises, both on and off the track.

Using a base 2011 Ford Fiesta with the 1.6L TiVCT I4 engine and a 5-speed manual transmission as a starting point, we developed a Steeda cold air intake to provide the engine a healthy dose of fresh air for combustion. Controlling the engine/transmission, we developed a short throw shifter that allows you to assume complete and confident control without worry of missing a shift.



The real magic is under the car – that is where the Steeda Engineers worked transform its handling to a new their magic to level of performance for the model. The parts that were designed, engineered, manufactured, and tested that will be available for sale include:

* Adjustable front coil-over springs (38mm range)
* Rear spring adjusters (38mm range)
* Re-tuned dampers and spring rates
* Anti-roll bars for increased stiffness
* Front strut tower brace for increased chassis rigidity

To bring this sport sedan to a sure stop, the Steeda/Brembo Teams co-developed a prototype four-wheel prototype disk brake application that replaces the stock front disks and rear drum brakes for sure stopping under adverse street or track conditions. With four-wheel disk brakes, this sedan not only has the right performance look, but also most importantly has the
right calibrated stopping power that will not let you down when you need it most.

Other notable options on this vehicle include:

* Borla performance cat-back exhaust system
* Ford Custom Accessories upper rear hatch spoiler
* Custom blacked out headlamps and front fascia LED bezels
* Lettering Inc. custom graphic designed by Ford Corporate Design



The 2011 Ford Fiesta by Steeda Autosports and Ford Racing – jointly developed to provide the compact sport sedan enthusiast the performance parts they demand. Look for the Steeda / Ford Racing parts when the Ford Fiesta is available for sale in the summer of 2010.
