Nels, do you know your railcar number? Mine is ETTX802543. It left Stratford TX on the Union Pacific RR this morning and is scheduled to be in the Chicago area for interchange with the Canadian National on Sunday.

I saw the rail car number on the VVR (on his computer screen) with the other information, but I didn't bother to write it down because He was sure it would be here in the next day or two. I thought about asking him to print it out, but most of it was Mexican names and language that I don't understand. Besides, it's past history. Like someone else on this forum said -- What's behind you doesn't matter. There is a good chance our cars are on the same carrier. They are headed to the same place.

All this talk about rail cars on this forum brings to mind something my dad (and others of his generation) used to say -- "Say whatever you want about Hitler, but he did make the trains run on time."

Default SFE Package/Sport Appearance Packgae

Am I correct in understanding that these are the same parts and pieces?

It certainly appears according to everything I have read, they are in fact the same!

Now they are two different things. The SFE package has more underbody and wheel well trims. The sport appearance package is just what it says an appearance package with spoiler and lower body trim like what Brian has on his car.

The SFE and SA packages share the following:

* 15" aluminum (instead of steel) wheels
* Cruise control.
* Spoiler on sedan (spoiler is already standard on hatchback)

The SFE package has the following that the SA package does not have:

* Various aerodynamic bits on the underbody and lower grille.
* 195/60/15 tires instead of 185/60/15 tires (effectively raises gearing by 2%)
* Aluminum (instead of steel) spare wheel for sedan.

I was under the impression that the SFE package used the side skirts from the 3D Carbon body kit but not the front and rear bumper pieces. Is this correct?

Not that I am aware of.

There's your answer for those complaining about the fast speedo.

Default SFE

Just got a 5-dr hatch with SFE. It has Steel wheels with hubcaps and a steel spare tire. Did I get ripped off??

I was under the impression that the SFE package included 15" painted aluminum wheels. They are listed in the product features guide I downloaded back when I ordered my car. I just went to the "build it" site and the aluminum wheels are not specifically listed there (except aluminum mini spare for sedan). On my window sticker, under options, it does not list the aluminum wheels, but it does list the spoiler, cruise, and P195 tires under SFE package. Maybe the features guide I have (dated March 2010) is wrong, or there was a change. If I ever get my SFE sedan, I'll let you know what I get.
