Default Fiesta Movement at Daytona.

Here's a few pics, this was in my opinion a little disappointing. Showing two Euro Fiesta Movement cars and one was damaged then the tuner and that was it. I figured they would have a NA Sedan and Hatch on the show block as well. I'll be taking more tomorrow and hopefully the ground will be a bit dryer. Also with a bit of hope somebody there representing the Fiesta Movement itself.

Again with black headlights!

On a side note - I noticed the rear clusters are different too: the EU version has clear lenses while the NA does not. Here in Europe, since the launch of the 1998 Opel Astra, it's very popular for cars to have clear lensens and faceted reflectors. Maybe that's not allowed in NA (could someone check if there are any cars out there with clear rear lenses?). Interestingly, the NA Fiesta uses the honeycomb design, like the EU Focus and Mondeo!

And another side note -

Why did Ford change the front bumper design?

To meet the 5MPH crash test:

... which the EU car doesn't without a scratch!

There are quite a few cars sold in NA with clear lenses on tail lights. It has been really popular as an aftermarket add on. The fad is somewhat fading now though.

I was told (by an expert in all things Euro ) that , had that been a NA car, the drivers legs would have been severed off below the knees or at least crushed horribly. Apparently because $30,000 to $40,000 in medical bills is cheaper for the insurance company than fixing or totalling a $20,000 car.

since I am at work, the pics don't show up so I can't tell which tuner car is there. I really hope the black headlights make it as an accessory, if not, it will be time to take them apart and paint them.

Its the blue and white H&R Tuner. Its a converted Euro Car, still has the full Euro Interior, Euro Light Switch and Euro Tail Lights. Its fricking raining so pics are going to be crap I should have just taken them yesterday when I was there and risked getting my head chopped off.

yep, I know which car you are talking about. All of the tuner cars are EU spec.

I like the H&R tuner because its awful close to what my ST Fiesta will look like. I like the OZ rims but I want mine in Blue with center white stripes. Though I will be removing the NA Spec tail lights off my Fiesta and putting Euro spec on. I do not like the ''Honeycomb'' over the turn and back up lights.

Legs crushed or severed by a five mile per hour accident? This expert in all things Euro must be mildly retarded.

They're crazy about the pedestrian safety crap in Euro-land, but I don't get it. Waaaaay fewer people die as result of getting hit by a car than die by getting hit while in a car, right? Or do crazy Italians mow people down by the tens of thousands over there?
