Still no parts yet, I checked it this morning. Last I heard from FSWerks was that parts due sometime this summer after the car is out. Nothing new since then.

Illuminated Gear Indicator
Shift Knob by Gaslock

You know I always wanted a gear position indicator on my old SV650, but after awhile you just get used to counting your upshifts/downshifts. My Daytona 675 has a GPI and I rarely look at it.

I don't quite see the point of that shift knob. It would make more sense on the PowerShift gearbox if you could manually select gears. I don't know of anyone driving a traditional manual who needs to look at the knob to see what gear they are in. To each their own, but I don't get it. A large LED display on the dash with gear selection with a manually operated PowerShift would be awesome.

It's a novel idea, and I would love to play with it. But with my driving experience I wouldn't need it at all. In fact, i think it's distracting when you have to look at your gearstick instead of on the road. But - it's a nice piece of kit.

I agree with Chan - on motorcycles they can be useful because there is no way of seeing where you shifted last. They certainly are not necessary though. As for having one on a car, I don't see the point.

For a true sequential or a DSG that you can shift, the display is perfect. For a traditional H pattern gearbox, it is just odd. Rather see a short throw shifter or a functional part than the lighted shift knob. The colored leather knobs are pretty cool looking, and I have thought about blue since that is what I am using for an accent color.

Ok so based on reactions from folks checking out my Fiesta today I've decided to leave the LED parking lamps with chrome surrounds, chrome beltline and decklid moldings intact. my "SES" badge has been removed however

On some colors, the chrome trim looks good. Magenta, Red candy, Black, and Blue Flame seem to wear the chrome well. I think the LED bezels in chrome is too much on any of the colors. The beltline in chrome is not bad at all, and I may decide to leave that on my car. Not really sure yet.

In that through their regular fordracing.com site or a different URL. Just did a quick troll though the fordracing.com site and didn't see anything specifically for the Fiesta.

Ford Racing Performance Parts has been hard at work on the new Fiesta models and will be ready with a line of performance packs and parts for the hot little world car. Working with their European partner M-Sport, Ford Racing plans on building several project Fiestas to showcase how far owners can take the new vehicle.

For power improvement, Ford Racing engineers are currently working on a cold air intake to improve airflow combined with a Ford Racing Performance exhaust system for the 1.6-liter Ti-VCT I-4 engine. To keep the Fiesta firmly planted on all four tires, Ford Racing plans on offering an upgraded suspension kit to give the Fiesta driver track-inspired ride and handling. For those looking for show and go, Ford Racing plans to offer multi-spoke euro-styled wheels and other appearance accessories for all Fiesta models.
