[QUOTE=mrbirdman330;37443]My first Ford was my mom and dads 85 Tempo GL with the blue pin stripe bought brand new for an impressive 10K. That car was pure comfort and just all around great to drive. Five speed manual, AC, Tilt Wheel, AM FM Radio with cassette and the 2.2L I4. I miss that car and would probably still own it if I didn't roll it.

Mine was a blue '85 5 speed with a white painted on pin strip.$9,511 Also some more comments under Mattew's post.

Yep, the Buick La Crosse is actually an Opel Insignia, which is a darn fine car that can easily compete with the best Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus can dish up.

The next Buick to be released will be based in the new Opel Astra

If its bashing the Vega go right ahead. I think none of us would mind that, it was GM's biggest pile of trash ever created this side of the pond. They should have put more concern in the body of the car rather than the engine so they could haul it that unique way.

Ok, this has gone REALLY off topic. Please start another thread if you want to talk about Tempos and other cars. This one is about 0-60 times for the Fiesta.

I am buying the Fiesta for MPG, aesthetic appeal, and SYNC. I don't care if the 0-60 isn't top notch as long as I have the power to make it over hills and pass slowbees on the Freeway. (: I've seen reported something like 9 seconds... seems fine to me.
