Default Ultra Gauge?

Has anyone installed an Ultra Gauge on a 2011 Fiesta. If so does it have water temperature and oil pressure as one of it's feature output display??

I originally thought the Ultra Gauge was a scam but I have found enough reveiws now on-line from real people. It does have those things, but only if your car supports the outputs. Their site lists all the possible outputs. Seems like it is geared more towards MPG functions though.

Search the net for reviews. There are quite a few out there.

I would sit tight. I'm hopeful there are several aftermarket companies out therethat are currently working on some gauges for the Fiesta.

I got the ScanGauge II. Didn't know about the UltraGauge. I'm happy with my ScanGauge II, but I think I would have gotten the UltraGauge. Cheaper and bigger better display. Tons of infor availble, including temp.

The Ultragauge people returned an answer I had to a question if their product would go successfully on a Fiesta. Their reply was they had found few if any autos built after 1996 that it wouldn't successfully fit. However, they said it hadn't been tested on a Fiesta. Of course I'm looking for Water temp and oil pressure. They gave me a website I could check periodically to see what engine operations it would support. I was hoping someone had "jumped' the gun and gone ahead and installed the product. It currently is only $59.95 with a mail in rebate.
Can an after market water temp gauge be successfully installed on a fiesta without affecting other operations of the vehicle computer?

****It says in the ultra gauge promos "only shows gauges that your auto supports." Will the idiot lights for Fiesta oil pressure and water Temp be enough to activate the oil pressure and water temp feature of the Ultragauge??

Any OBD-II gauge or scanner that can show coolant temperature will show that on a Fiesta. This include the ScanGauge; if the UltraGauge reads from the OBD-II port and includes a coolant temperature display option, it should work also.

Note that coolant temperature read from the OBD-II port is what the ECU thinks it is, not the "damped" one that is displayed on cars with coolant temperature instrument panel gauges.

My guess is no because the sending unit is probably nothing more than something with a predetermined limits. With a gauge set-up, you'll want a sending unit with a wider range?

The Fiesta, and presumably all modern cars, has a coolant temperature sensor that can give a fine enough resolution to give a useful value to the ECU, which needs to know how cold or hot the engine is for various purposes relating to fuel economy, performance, and emissions. The easiest way to get a coolant temperature gauge is to plug an OBD-II gauge into the OBD-II port.
