Default Just browsing the 'New Posts' on here and ...

as I write this, 9 of the 25 threads are people with issues with their vehicles or discussing quality issues in general. That's 36% of the topic neutral 'New Posts' search. Even people writing one year reviews are here not to say how happy they've been but instead, explaining their problems and disappointments.

What's wrong with this picture?

Is there anyone here that has had zero problems and no issues whatsoever?

I'd love to hear your story, (build date, mileage, equipment, etc.) if so.

I've not experienced anything I would call "aggravating". I applied the grounding tsb myself. I checked all my weatherstripping and applied weatherstrip cement at the extremes to make sure there were no leaks and so that the weatherstrip would not come loose. I adjusted the hatch and all door latches. My mirrors were a little loose and I tightened them.

I do this kind of stuff all the time. I have two old muscle cars and am quite used to making fit and finish improvements that meet my personal standards.

I have had my PCM updated. As a result, the engine is smoother and better running.

I have had zero problems and love this little car. I intend to drive it for many years.

I have a 5-speed SES hatch with Sirius/Sync etc. While it has taken me time and research to learn how to properly use Sync, I have not had any frustrating problems. My phone paired easily and even uploaded my contacts automatically.

While I am sensitive to those with the Powershift problems, I think that many of those who have expressed dissatisfaction are doing so because they expected the Powershift to behave like a conventional torque converter automatic. It does not. I think that Ford could do a much better job of informing customers of what to expect. I have driven a Powershift car and I thought the transmission was smooth and very quiet.

My Fiesta is 7 months old and has almost 8000 miles on the odometer. It's build date is 5-19-10.

Again, I love this little car.

You may have heard the common misconception that, "The Internet is for porn."

I assure you this is incorrect. The Internet is for complaining.

FiestaFan, Audrey, Jaxx and 6 others like this.

My experience is that complaining gains nothing.

I love this hatchblack! I've had mine for 8 months, it's been better than any car I've driven, let alone owned(not many, but enough). The only complaint I have is, my bike has been accruing less kilometers than ever! The powershift is awesome.

I still don't care what the build date is... It has 10650 km on it, due to me garaging it during the meat of winter so it wouldn't get wrecked(it's my first new car!)... I'm only getting 29.7 mpg because I drive 80% city, and drive it like it's angry most of the time... The only time I've had it at the dealer is for service #1, and to get my rims swapped... I wish I had more time and money to mod it, which is almost as fun as driving it!... Even now, while driving it to work every day for the last 5 and a half weeks, I still grin... If I could do it over again, I'd even pay more... I paid for sync, pair my phone occasionally(iPhone ), enjoy the 'premium' sound system, but I'd still love it if it was just me and a wheel in it...

When people are dealing with or complaining about their issues on here, I just want to help them if I can, so they can experience just driving the thing...

I've had my Fiesta for over a year and it has over 19,500 miles. No problems or issues. Some weirdness... the rear dome lamp pops loose when exiting the car wash and the air dryer blows on the hatch.

TBH, I am seriously happy with the car. Really! I do have issues but have work-arounds applied until I can get them addressed.

ISSUE: Rear door weatherstripping coming loose - waiting on adhesive to fix it.
WORKAROUND: Small piece of scotch tape holding the piece steady in the channel. Adhesive appears to be back-ordered.

ISSUE: Even with light pedal pressure, the 1-2 gear shift is 3000 RPM or more.
WORKAROUND: Lift foot at about 2500 and transmission shifts properly. I just PMd CS at their request on this, so should be addressed soon (and maybe the stripping).

I just came off a 575 mile round trip from Oswego, NY to Tyrone, PA (near Altoona) and had absolutely no problems and managed 41+ MPG without SFE! Air conditioning was used for about 100 miles to Tyrone. I am one very happy person.

My build date is July 2010, mileage is currently 9830 or so. Car specs in sig. 10K oil change and check is scheduled for July 1.

Default I <3 my Fiesta!

I LOVE my Fiesta! At the end of July I will have had her for one year. She has about 16,500 miles on her at this point, a combination of highway and city miles and an avg. of 38.5 mpg. Build date of 5/2010. I've had 3 TSB's performed, the one for the Powershift transmission intermittently not starting, the slow clock and the gas gauge not reading "full." Otherwise I've had no issues with this car. I've also had excellent communication and service from the dealership where I bought the car. Its quite simply one of the best cars I've ever owned and even with the known issues, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Fiesta to my friends. Viva la Fiesta!
