Remote trunk release

Haven't seen this mentioned concerning the remote:

If you hit the unlock button twice in quick succession you unlock everything, including the hatch.

When you close everything you tap the lock button once to lock, twice quickly to lock/honk.

Now if you hit just the hatch unlock once nothing happens but if you hit it twice quickly only the hatch unlocks (and the lights come on)

BUUUUT, now for the punchline .... when you close the hatch everything locks automagically without pushing any buttons.

(So be sure to have the key in your hand lol. I put the spare in the living room and left the main in the trunk to see if it would lock.)


I suspect the sedan version works the same.

I just hit the button above my license plate on my sedan trunk and keep my key in hand or in pocket.
