Default Getting Started in RallyCross

I have just published an article about getting started in RallyCross at "Dirty Cones and Checkpoints" (Getting Started in RallyCross « Dirty Cones and Checkpoints)

If you are interested in playing in the dirt, please check it out. I don't have any pictures of the Fiesta in the Dirt yet, but I will at the end of the month. I have posted a RallyCross video on YouTube though if you haven't seen it.

Thumbs up

Great video! The editing is well done. (: This is pretty much auto-crossing on dirt? Sounds awesome. Is there a schedule of meets somewhere? I'm not a participant of such things, but might be fun to see in person.

Can't make that one. The one in August is also sorta rough. Perhaps the September 10th one.

Thanks for the great write up! I've been itching to do something like this, and your article may have pushed me over the edge. I don't think I'll take the Fiesta out, but I like the idea of finding a sub grand clunker. I'm up in WA so if I can convince my wife to let me do this we may meet

I rallycrossed my Saturn. It was fun but took too much time to clean up...

Thank you.

Next one for our area is in Chehalis, WA both Sat & Sun (7/30 - 31). It is a points event for us. So if you not too far, come check it out if nothing else.

More info at oregonrally.com.

Yeah ... it takes a bit of cleaning. I found a trip to the spray and wash on the way home helps, if it is a really muddy event.

I have heard of some people spraying "Pam" in their wheel wells to keep the mud down. I don't know if this actually works and I think that would be more of a pain in the ass to clean.

The Saturn would be a good car, I would think. Did you run in Stock Front?
