Default 1 month review

I guess its been just over a month now, but so far, I'm loving it. Of all the vehicles i've driven, I really feel like I "connect" with this one, its not just a tool to get to and from. I'm 16 going on 17 in a few weeks. I have a Tuxedo Black SES 5 speed, loaded except leather. I love driving it, and my friends love it. They love to feel the squishy, soft dashboard and cycle through the ambient lighting colours. The only real issue I have is one of my friends is in a wheel chair, and both seats need to be folded and the cargo cover removed to accomodate it. His mom has a 2010 Fusion and the chair fits perfectly. Oh well. I've only done city driving, have yet to have it over 80 KM/H, so i'm averaging 7.5 L/100KM. My moms 2011 Explorer gets 14 L/100KM.
I love everything about it, especially the intelligent access which our Explorer Limited has as well. Ive gotten so used to it that often when im driving another vehicle I forget to take the key out of my pocket. Another hard part has been finding a place for my iPhone. The OtterBox Reflex case is hard plastic and makes it slide out of that little shelf behind the shifter.

iPhone resides here for now...

Only it was blue... Rockin alpine deck, with dual 6x9s in the cargo cover! Thanks sis!

When I was your age (haha, about 7 years ago) I drove my parents' 10 year old Suburban with the 454 and a bad catalytic converter. They probably could have given me a newer car, but I think they figured that if they gave me a car that gets single digit MPG numbers I wouldn't be able to go very far if I wanted to joyride, hahaha....

Oh yeah, and nice wheels! It almost brings a tear to my eye that you're a 16 year old that knows how to, and apparently likes to, drive a stick. Go tell the rest of your generation how awesome the manual transmission is!

Thumbs up

It's been said already, but getting a new car to drive as your own at your age is a pretty special thing! It's such a beautiful car, and really the right one for you it sounds like. "Feel connected to" sounds familiar. I'm still loving my Fiesta, 10 and a half months after the fact. (:

Yes - my life would be a lot worse if the Fiesta wasn't such a great place to be.

Hey you're "local" to me
Don't be like me; stay far behind big rigs and pick-ups, and save the front of your car!

If your looking for a good place to stick your iphone look no further than:

Device Holders and Dashboard Vehicle Mounts*-*ProClip Car Mounts for Mobile Phones, GPS, and Handheld Devices

Its a tad pricey but its the best iphone mounting solution i've seen.

I look so forward each day to driving my Fiesta SES hatch that I "invent" instances to drive it. I'm wearing it out prematurely. I've had countless instances where unknown people walk up to me "out of the blue" and inquire and admire my Fiesta.
My main hope is that I will be able to purchase a two door SES hatch (desire the bigger door like my two door 07 Focus. ) in a couple of years.

When I was 16 I had a Lynx too (I think it was ~10yrs old by then). Green with wood panel exterior, tan (orange) vinyl interior.
