Had my first Stoppie yesterday.

A lady was pulling into the parking lot while I was waiting for the light (no one behind me) and asked me:

"Fiesta?"

Yep

"Can I see?"

Sure.


I rolled down my window and the window behind me and she checked it out, just like that, for about a minute or two lol

After having my Fiesta for over a year I still get a kick out of people asking to take a look at mine. Lately, I've had many more questions about fuel mileage which I'm proud to say has averaged 32 mpg since I've had her.

I was on the other side. Saw a Fiesta and asked the lady if it was a Fiesta (I knew they were coming but didn't know they were here yet)). When she said yes I asked her how she liked it. She did and the rest, as they say, is history.

This has not happened to me, even though I was a fairly early adopter. I bet color and bodystyle play a big role in getting noticed. Danpass and NLC/KC both have hatchbacks in unique colors. I think my blue sedan flies under most people's radar because it's somewhat similar to a Blue Flame Focus or even a Blue Streak Yaris.

A about a month ago I was sitting in a parking lot waiting for wifey when an older gentleman comes up and wants to know all about the Fiesta. I had to laugh because he took a long walk around the car looking at all the details.

Frankly I'm not surprised he did a walkaround. I've spent weeks inside the Louvre and the Rodin Museum in Paris as well as plenty of other museums worldwide with artworks and sculpture. With the Fiesta's sculptured body it could easily pass as a work of art. The attention to detail is excellent all around.

I catch people every so often taking a peak inside my car. I think the sparkling yellow color catches their attention first and they become curious.

Some guys in a Silverado pulled in next to me at a restaurant this past week. As I was walking back to my car after dinner the driver got out of his truck, took a glance at the Fiesta, then proceeded to peer into the passenger side window. He called his buddy over and said something like "look at that". When they realized I was the owner, the driver said "nice ride" and they went into the restaurant.

I've had lots of looks from people while I'm driving, especially now that I de-badged the rear of the car.

When I went on a road trip this past Friday I saw 3 other Fiestas on the road, including my first Yellow Blaze sighting. Beautiful color! Unfortunately I was driving my boss' Mercedes SL55 so they probably were wondering why in the heck I was checking out their Fiesta!

On my way to work today, some guy stopped weedeating his lawn to gawk at me as I drove by. It made me laugh a little. A $15k car drawing so many looks.

I've had 2 stoppies where I could actually let them see anything. I was parked and they were entering or leaving the nearby business. First one was just a week after taking ownership and it was hubby, wife and teen son - all Ford owners - from Buffalo and passing through.

I've waved at 2 of the other local owners but we've not had any real meetings of any note.
