Finally Getting My Fiesta!?!?!?!

It appears as though this may finally be the week I get the car I've been drooling over for the last nine months. In that time I've found at least a dozen other cars I wanted but just kept coming back to the fiesta. My color preference has gone from Monterey Gray to Ingot Silver to Tuxedo Black and now I've finally settled on Red Candy. I have a neighbor who knows the general manager at our local ford dealer, so combine that with the $750 private cash and hopefully I can get a good deal. I've looked around and it seems there's still a few red candy SES hatch models here in Florida so they should be able to find one still. I'll keep everyone up to date. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to post here soon. (I've also got a big list of mods I want to do too )

Signed the paperwork today! My Fiesta is coming next week! I literally cannot wait!

I was hoping there was a reason.

From the time I get the financial go-ahead from my wife to shop for a new car until the time I'm driving it off the lot is 3 days, max. I'm impatient and all about instant gratification.

Opposite problem. Wife tells me I've spent too much time "researching things" go out and buy... Since I keep the cars a long time (unless its a problem car, e.g., Ford Tempo manual). It will be kept for awhile even if I'm not enthused. Civic was OK, just OK and I kept it for 16 years until I had an excuse to replace it.

Well the plan with this one is to keep it for quite a while. I have to pay for whatever I get, and believe me there are some really nice *fast* used cars I could get for less than the fiesta. But between the crappy gas milage and the HUGE insurance cost for a 350Z vs a Fiesta, I really don't want to go with anything else.

i currently have an 01 toyota rav 4 with 180,000 miles on it. it still runs perfectly, never had to fix anything major on it besides a water pump pulley and the serpentine belt ( as well as general maintenance of course). I was trying to figure out if i wanted to keep the rav for a couple more years or if i wanted to go ahead and look at getting a new car. i looked around for about a month before i got dead set on getting the fiesta. i pretty much fell in love with it after going and looking at one. i absolutely cant wait for it to come in. i ordered the 12' SES hatch almost 3 weeks ago so hopefully it will come in here in about 2-4 more weeks!!!

They found one exactly how I wanted it. I'm heading into the dealer tomorrow to make sure they can order it. If anyone out there is looking at a fiesta now, see if you can find a 2011, their giving some pretty good discounts on them now.
