Default 2012's Canada

Took em a bit longer, but for anyone interested it appears you can now build 2012 Fiestas from the Canadian Ford Website.

http://www.ford.ca

Seems a little chunky and locks up at times during customization but thought I would give a heads up since the last few weeks I've been checking their site on this side of the border the 2012 Fiesta love has been lacking.

Cheers

I've been waiting for this myself. Thanks for letting me know.

Let's just hope the guy who painted the "Candy Blue" colour car in the gallery isn't as colour blind as the guy who did the US one. The colour is WAY off when viewing the gallery.

EDIT: I just tried it and the configurator is crap. It died on me at least 3 times. I tried to pick a different colour and I just got the green turning circle over and over until I closed it and opened it again. Maybe it's not very IE friendly. But I'm at work and have no other browser to try. Also the price went up by 1000 bucks even though I'm pricing out the same car. Not sure why.

thanks for the update, I just went and built a 2012 model equipped the same as my 2011 and took out the Employee discount since it seemed that they took an extra $1000 off for the 2011 model on Delivery Allowance. And I was surprised that without any discounts the 2012 model is $224 cheaper.

That's funny because the exact same SES hatchback is now almost 1000 bucks more compared to the way it came out when I priced it before. I've had a goal set in mind of $20,000 before I order the car. This was because I priced out an SES hatchback and it came to almost 20K before.

Now the same model in 2012 form is $21,000. Not sure why though but it doesn't really matter anyway. I'm going to haggle with the dealer and try and bring him down to 20K anyway.

Oh I see, well I have the se hatchback with options, and the base se hatchback for 2011 starts at $16,799 and the 2012 starts at $15,999. The same options on the 2012 cost more than the 2011, but not enough to make it more expensive than the 2011 model that is already $800 more at base se. But the 2011 model is cheaper than the 2012 now because they took an extra $1000 off for delivery allowance. But without any discounts, the 2012 seems cheaper.

Dont worry, its not very Firefox friendly either. They are changing the prices too from last night I noticed the block heater shot up from 80 to 100... Wonder what else is being 'improved' on their site as they add the 2012 features lol....

Ford of Canada's website is certainly...touchy...at times.

I've had the vehicle configurator lock up on me several times on several vehicles. It's quite poor compared to competitors' websites -- even Ford.com does a better job (and has better pictures).

If you want a better representation of the colour and appearance, visit the US websites (Ford or Ford Accessories | Customize Your Ford | The Official Site for Ford Custom Accessories). If you want Canadian pricing, visit ford.ca.

I'm not sure if anyone here from Ford of Canada reads this forum, but the entire site needs an overhaul and attention to details.

Maybe the problem is they think since we all live in igloos up here, that no one will visit ford.ca

**Shrug**

Who knows.
