Default Something interesting

Yesterday I got stuck in a traffic jam at a cinstruction site.
So creeping along with out my foot on the throttle, I glanced at the tach and the rpm was arounf 1200. I put my foot on the brake and the rpm dropped to normal idle. Released the brake, applied a little throttle to get moving, then off. Same thing.
This is on my SE Powershift.
So it appears we have a creep mode.

Sounds creepy to me.

Every car I've ever owned (automatic) has done this. It's always in gear and once it overcomes the inertia of standing still it will creep. And the rpm will increase slightly. Perfectly normal.

yep. I talked to someone at the auto show. they had to program that in the powershift so it doesn't roll backwards in like a manual.

On further review, it may not be as interesting as I thought.

Default Love my Manaual

Gotta love a manual. It does exactly what you want, when you want. Well, except for that not going into reverse thing.

The only thing that keeps a manual car from rolling back is the skill of the driver.
The powershift has a hill holder program.
