Default ScangaugeE vs UltraGauge

Fiesta owners which do you favor....

The new ScanGuage E or the UltraGuage?

Both seem to provide comparable info and features. I kinda like the look and bigger seemimgly more information per screen of the UltraGuage at least in the photos and the price is right. But the new 'E' model of the ScanGuage is compareably priced and the display can be set to kinda match the red themed Feista instruments.

If you have either one where do you mount it in your fiesta? Got pics?

I have the both. The ScanGauge 2 in on my Fiesta. The Ultra gauge is on my wifes minivan.

ScanGauge 2: Easier and much more friendly to use. Costs more money. Has four choices to disply out of dozens. Smaller. Come with a real owners manual. I mounted it on the left side above the ac vent with the velcro. I like this one better.

Ultra Gauge. Cheaper. Has a rebate, but it is the hardest rebate to submit I've ever seen. Really bad, I doubt I'll get it. Bigger, but has six choices at a time to choose from. Only three buttons and they are on the back. Hard to use. Have to turn it on each time you start the car. No owners manual, have to print out tons of pages on the website. If you mastered computer stuff, should be fine. It's almost as bad as setting up a new labtop. I think its made my Microsoft! (it isn't) Just a few minor changes it could have great.

I like the ScanGauge 2 better, but it costs a lot more, so not sure which one I would buy today. I am happier with the ScanGauge 2.

Corsair,

So is that the scangauge2e you are talking about or just the 2. I am thinking e since you said it is smaller but you just typed '2' and then said it was a lot more expensive and the 'e' model seems to go for about $100

P.S. 65 Corvette Convertible here.... Did you try for a competitor conversion rebate when you bought the Ford. I think I am going to give it a shot if mine ever shows up.

I have the Ultragauge and it is mounted on the triangular glass in front of the driver's door.

My Fiesta is over a year old. As is the ScanGuage2. No "e". I think it was about $139, suggested retail $169. About a year old. The Ultra Gauge is a couple of months old.

Us early purchasers waited close to half a year!

I just checked prices on Ebay. Starts around $90 now. Today I wouldn't even consider a Ultra Gauge. Anyone want to buy my UtraGauge?

I am going to use a proclip pillar mount to mount my ScanGauge E (hopefully I will receive it this week). Will post pictures when i get it set up. Anyways, I intend to leave it in the car as an auxilllery set of gauges (engine temp & Voltage). Hopefully it will not attract any attention to thieves as it is small and my windows are tinted besides. The Ultraguage in my opinion with it's larger screen, looks more like a GPS unit when it is turned off (when the display is not on) and therefore could attract more attention I'm thinking. Perhaps my logic is flawed, but that is one reason I went with a ScanGauge E, besides the backlight color options.
