The other day my GF pointed out that the silver trim piece on the door pull was loose. One of the retaining pins was broken off.
I went to my dealer to see about a replacement.
A new one is $29.28. For a simple piece of plastic that simply snaps on.

Shouldn't warranty cover that piece? I mean, if it's a defect in the trim piece, I don't see why it wouldn't be covered.

If you do have to buy it yourself, order it from our sponsors, FORDSVTPARTS (i.e. Steve) from Tousley Ford in MN, or Bill Jenkins from TeamFord in NV. Even with shipping, chances are parts will be a heck of a lot cheaper.

As noted, warranty coverage should be first try at repair/replace, then Tousley should be able to assist. I also do periodic checks of FordPartsPeople.com to see if anything has popped up in their inventory.

That's why I ordered my trunk liner from Tousley. My only problem was that I ordered right before the holiday, so it's taking longer than I hoped to get That's not their fault though, it's mine for becoming impatient. It's funny how I didn't have a second thought about it until I ordered it, and now I WANT!

Especially with the Canadian Dollar being worth more than the US Dollar.

The warranty thing was discussed with the manager. Sinceit did not appear to be a manufacturing defect, one peg was broken of, as if something caught, I am suspicios of how, doesn't apply.
And since I was right there and I didn't even have to go to the parts dept to order it and I will have it in a couple days.
Very easy to replace. do it myself.
I will keep Tousley in mind in the future.
