I bought the cargo net offered as a "genuine Ford part". Was listed as fitting the Focus & Fiesta. (Part # VAA6Z54550A66A). Bought it from a Ford dealer directly.
I noticed there are only 2 hooks of any kind in my Fiesta hatchback (same hook, one on each side): ![]() So I figured the net must come with some kind of additional mounts to install. Nope. there was just a set of instructions: ![]() So Just hooking it on the 2 hooks that are in the Fiesta, you see how high it would hang (in the pictures it showed it being lower, not sitting much higher than the bottom lip of the open hatch. It is also pretty narrow. Doesn't stretch fully to the sides as you can see. ![]() Unless I am somehow missing something, I've come to the conclusion that this is a universal net that is not exclusive to the Focus and Fiesta and that you are on your own as to finding a method of mounting it somehow.

That's how some of the nets are fashioned in Ford cars over the years. The top two loops hook onto some pre-existing hooks in the area, and the bottom is loose OR you need to find some pre-existing areas where it can hook into.
On one of my vehicles, there isn't anywhere to secure the base of the net, nor is there any loops on the net for it to be secured.

Seems like I saw some anchor points down low either on the floor under the 'carpet' right at the rear of the floor or just as the lip turns up to meet the hatch door? I not have gotten my car yet (are mexican trains really that slow) so I can't be sure but I did order the compartment organizer which claimed to be attachable and appears to have only two clip straps that could only attach where I indicated.
What about using the car seat attachments on the back of the rear seat back? My fathers previous gen focus had either only two hook points or none I can't remember but for him I drilled a small hole into the inner panel of the trunk and put in a couple of riv-nuts into which we screwed eye bolts. Looked pretty stock when we finished. Lastly maybe it would work to hook two hooks of the net on each of the points you found forming a net envelope where you could put a few items and their weight would surt of trap them in the net. Just a few thoughts.

I would not mount it on the existing hooks as it is too high. Just did it in the pics to show. And no, the net in the picture it is not secured in any way at the bottom. I feel I wasted like $40 on something that was sold to fit when it in fact does not. Sure I could probably come up with some way to mount some anchors, but I should have to for one, and for another, not sure if I want to start drilling holes in a new car.
Purpose of this post was to alert others thinking of buying the net that it is in fact not a custom fit and to save them from wasting thier money.

It's funny, but I just ordered my cargo net last week, before I'd seen this thread... Anyone have any experience with the net in sedan trunks yet??
