Please Read - Installation of new service: CloudFlare

This was added as a site-wide 'announcement', but I also wanted to make a thread to make sure everyone gets to see/read it:

We just wanted to give all members a heads up that we are going to be trying a service called CloudFlare to protect and speed up the forums. This should improve page loading times and sharply reduce the number of active spammers.

Please be advised that a small number of you may get a challenge page before you are granted access to the site once the service is installed. You will still be able to access the forum by passing the captcha, and you will be able send us a message through the challenge page to request whitelisting of your IP address.

The challenge page will appear if there are indications that your machine is infected with a computer virus or malware. If that happens, the best thing to do is to run an anti-virus scan on your machine as a precaution.

Sometimes there are false positives with the data, but it is most common if you are coming from a shared network like an office, college network or coffee shop. What this means is that although you computer may not be infected, someone else on your same network does have an issue. If you receive the challenge page, you should still run an anti-virus scan as a precaution. If there is no virus or malware, you can then enter the CAPTCHA to access the forum. The data set will refine over time for our particular forum.

We are experiencing a few hiccups with the forum since we installed this service. We are currently working the kinks out. Thank you for your patience.

HAVING PROBLEMS? PLEASE NOTE:

If you are trying to log in to the forum and you are getting an "Invalid Redirect" error, simply try clicking on any other link on the page and the forum should log you in.

Will this help combat vulnerabilities associated with ForumRunner or Tapatalk software? I'm guessing no judging on the premise of the software, but I thought I'd ask.

only issue I'm having is invalid redirect error after submitting my credentials. I regularly run AV and spyware apps because I also use this system for work.

To get around this: On the invalid redirect URL message, click the FAQ link at the top. Then in the upperleft, click the Faction link. You should then see the forum list and you are logged in.

We're going to give Tapatalk a try again soon.

If anyone encounters that issue, that should work.

But, we've gone back and did a complete reinstall of CloudFlare from the ground up and we think we've eliminated the problem.

If you still have issues, please let me know.

Confirmed: The invalid redirect appears fixed ... I just logged in and got the appropriate message and the forums. Thank you!

Anyone else reading this ... check your likes ... they now show who, thread/message, date/time. Woohoo!
